Hey Folks,

I have been thinking about doing the AP thing, I ran across this deal on craigslist. Maybe it is the simplicity of having one already setup that lures me. I could get a mount and camera for my Trex 500, but the flight time is an issue because of the weight. Then I still need a way to stream it.

Here is the link:

Thank you for your time.

not,

Invest in a helicopter. This is a novelty. Your not going to be able to do anything with the "footage" that you get from this other than impress your friends over a beer. I would hold off until you have more money.......or even better yet, determine your market, line up a few jobs and then justify the expense. Nothing could be more frustrating than trying to save a few bucks and end up spending more in the long run. Hold off and do it right the first time. MHO & 2.5 cents.

I will echo what flyboy says. Unless all you want to do is impress your friends and family, i wouldn't consider the dragon fly.

To achieve the same result, buy a 2.4Ghz mini spy-cam setup from eBay etc for about $70, and hang it within the standard undercarriage on your Trex.

What you will get is low-resolution video which you can feed on the ground to a recorder. This will not be professional quality video, but neither will the video from that over-priced draganfly.
