Has anyone tried 18-55 IS lens on an canon 400D XTI. I just wondered if it was worth the $170.00 to try it over the standard 18-55 Plastic.... while i am asking, anyone have or use the 55-250 IS lens , not for rc aerials of course.... should upgrade my 55-200

Thanks

I currently run a Tamron 18-250 lens. I honestly love this one and use it for almost ALL my ground photography. And not to mention it's not THAT hard on the wallet.

Work Smart...Not Hard

For a bang-for-buck combo nothing beats the 18-55IS/55-250IS kit lenses.

I use them on my 40D and they are tack sharp.

They're not L glass but for money, they are great.

... But honey it was only $$$

Not sure it is a big enough jump in quality to warrant the purchase???

I.S. is really not needed for AP or mast work. May be better off getting some other lenses rather than going from cheap to low mid range in the same focal bracket???
