Hey guys, it just came to mind that if comparing our settings, we need to consider our head speeds. correct me if i'm wrong but with a higher head speed the gain would need to be lower due to the quicker reactions of the heli.

What head speeds are you running?

I've got 1250 at idle up 1 and 1350 at idle up 2.

I was convinced that my head speed was too slow after going flybarless from the sound of it, after checking the eagle tree data, it's the same as usual. The lack of flybar had changed the familier sound... anyone else notice that?

Other than transport, what's the big advantage of flybarless?

slightly longer flight times. headspeed is 1350.

Rhett... I can't fly, luckily the HC Profi Can!

I aggree with Rhett, Also supposed to be less affected by gusts of wind.

I think the big issue is that if you have high throw on your radio, but low throw on the profi, then the profi has only so much room to correct. You basically want to give the profi lots of control ( throw), and reduce it for yourself on your radio

the way I see it, IMHO, the profi ultimately controls the servos (throw), so set up the TX to maximum / 100% Throws, then in the software reduce so that there isn't excessive throw or binding. The profi then has maximum room to correct. On the cyclic, if you want softer controls, use exponential in the TX, that way the overall TX throw is not affected, just the feel, and the profi still has maximum room to correct.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm waiting for dry weather to test my setup, so this is just theory at the moment...

I agree with that. there's no one specific correct way, as each of us prefers to have a different feeling heli. I do use exponential.

I don't know how much cyclic ( although I'd guess a fair amount.. likely 10), but I setup for -4 to +10.5 collective, in all modes.

I would not have thought that, what's the theory?
