Hi mates,
First of all, I am new to electric helicopters therefor I was wondering if I followed the right advice from the Shop:

I have finished my Trex500 and the setup is the following:

Engine: Scorpion - HK3026 - KV1900
Battery: Thunderpower 2600Mah 6S
Speedcontroller: Kontronik Jazz 80-8-18 ESC
Pinion: 15T

Is this the right setup or is it necesary to use the 13/12T pinion? beside that what would be a good Gas Curve for normal flight, sport flight and hard 3D?

The stock align 500L is a 1600KV motor. The standard pinions for the stock 1600KV motor is the 12 or 13 tooth pinion when using a 6S battery. IMO a 15 tooth pinion with a 1900KV motor isn't a very good combination. Probably a better combination would be the 1900KV motor with a 12 tooth pinion.

Agree with Kingair. You want the 12T. 15T will give you 3500rpm headspeed with a 1900kv motor and 6S. That's WAY TOO MUCH for this machine.

The Scorpion 1900 is touted as a 5s motor. On 5s, a higher tooth pinion like a 15T would be appropriate but as you're finding out, that would be too much head speed on a 6s system. You could go wit the 1600 or the 1400. I have the 1400 and the 1600 and I like the 1400 best for aggressive 3d flying.
