As some of you know, I recently acquired an Intrepid 46
with an OS50 in it.
The machine simply flies as smooth as a sewing machine!
I love the belt drive for my style of flying and am not presently
considering upgrading to the torque tube. BUT, what I do desire
is to keep the TR belt system and CHANGE the entire rear
transmission to something a bit more precise.
(The 90º bell crank on mine is un-bushed and wear has affected
the BC mounting plate.) As you know, the Pitch slider slides
on the ball in the detent of the pitch side of the BellCrank, and
if the 3mm bolt is any looser, the ball 'could' pop out in flight.
I am wondering if I can change this out to a better rear end!?
Anyone? BTW, it is the 21mm OD Tail Boom.
Thanks!
Byron
PS, Chris was right, the Gasser Canopy is BIGG!
But I am planning on painting her up and wishing
for a Gasser! (I may try fitment on the 50!) It's COOOOOL!
I love gravity, it always keeps my feet planted when I fly! Byron 2 Peter 1:3 The Bible is True. |
