I would like to see your charts, and now i would specifically like to compare Gforce X and Y axis for vibration detection, cause im interested in knowing what an acceptable maximum of vibration is, and how low you are able to get them.

Heres mine for a start, note that the green graph is up and down movements, and the black sideways vibrations, and thats were i feel i got the issue... This is also two separate flights, separated round the middle of the chart.
Never crashed or hard landings, use to be quite vibe free earlier, tried different blades, tighten and loosen them.
I notice my Askman mount legs are shaking in the air, will try to put back the stock landing gear to see if it helps, but as mentioned, im curious on how low you are able to get YOUR vibes

Hey,

that's a great idea , using the Gforce module to analyze vibration, I never realised it would be so sensitive. I will add it to my wish list and post FDR asap.

I cant see any vibration in my mount at all now(it was a LOOOONG journey getting there), but I do get a very small shimmer when I do video, although that is with the camera mount rigid mounted to the heli

Yea, isnt it, and it doesnt cost much as an add-on if you already have the ETS

I cant notice much on the stills when using shutter 1/640, so it cant be that critical...

Ros, do you mean all the cabling, FDR, sensors and stuff?

Ace, with my Rotortech 830's i fly around 8.5 minutes with HS 1370rpm, the graph shows two flights with two different batteries, didnt emptied the last one...

...and you say, what could be more fun? Well, how about 18.5 minutes

Ben, Gforce works with the FDR.... buy it or lose it sister

Well, it really isnt much to show, other than another 3 mile of cable mess..

Thats one of the main reasons i prefer to keep a rig with canopy, and not one drone looking one without, that reveals all the ugly cables underneath

Tailboom pic is with an extended gps antenna, eng and esc is with temp senors, and the last pic speaks for it self.
The gforce sensor is placed on the front side of the FDR.

Hooooooorible pics this is

Haha, whats interesting?
To know how i can fit a stock canopy around this wood of cables?

Heres a picture from my living room, a tele guy visited me last week as i had been calling them about some poor tv signals, he tripped on one of the antenna cables and got stuck...
After 6 hrs, he tracked down the problem, and it turned out that i had tripped on the antenna cable myself, and ripped it out of my tele...

Seeing any patterns here?

I don’t know what this has to do with my question. Reading the graph I see a relatively calm trace between 6 min and 16.5 with a blip at 13.5 min. then it goes off the wall for no apparent reason. Mind you, this I assume is the second flight after a rough ride from the first flight. Mechanical problems don’t fix themselves but are easier to see for most people so go through the usual rig amoral of checking screws and bad bearings but don’t assume it is not caused by the electrical controls as they get warm. Secondly, if you cannot confirm mechanically that you are experiencing these vibrations in tune with the chart it could be simply in the sensor, the sensor mounting, or the Eagle Tree recorder itself. Charts by themselves may not tell the true story. Be careful analyzing charts with limited data to support them.

Ace, sorry misunderstood your question, thought you meant how long flight times i could achieve, but no, between 6 and 16 minutes im on the ground for battery change...

Its kind of obvious as well if you read my first post, stating that this was two different flights "This is also two separate flights, separated round the middle of the chart"
