ok guy am I missing some thing or just losing the plot.

but finished build but spent 2 and a half hours trying to get the dam clunk and rubber bun in.

as I just cant seem to get rubber bung thing in. as every time i try to push locking plastic bit in the out rubber bit will push into tank and have to spend 10 mins fishing it out again.


Is there a trick to doing it. am i missing something

help as im about to lose it. arrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

stuck on a build with such a silly thing.

One way to do it is to simply turn the rubber piece around so the thicker part sits outside of the tank. That way it's harder to have the rubber slide all the way into the tank. Be sure you lube the rubber with oil or whatever.

yep I had tried lube every thing, but the backwards trick.

thort so as I built a fair few helis and that`s the closest ones come, to fly out of window before the blades or engine are installed.

I used small hex tool to force them in bit by bit.

I push the nipple into the rubber bung the wrong way around , but only push it into the bung 3/4 of the way , then carefully push both back into the tank , use a blunt screwdriver to help the grommet in , then once its in so far push the last 1/4 into the bung , takes afew goes before you suss it out

Yep, someone else gave me this advice, only after i'd spent a whole morning fishing the damn thing out the tank. Much much much easier now!!
