Reporting findings from one of the failures was found to be the pinion bearing moving within it's housing, the cure seems to be facing the bearing block and slightly shortening the metal posts to improve the grip on the bearing.

Personally i'd epoxy the bearing from new, like we used to on the Raptors......

I gooped it from new. Finless bob recommended this in his build video's. Must have known something. To me it's just good buid practice. If it were metal I would have loctited it.

The problem with " addressing and solving the issues" after the release is that YOU the owner now face owning a crashed helicopter. I understand wanting to defend the manufacturer as you own their machine and no one likes to feel taken advantage of but its the consumer that ends up with the short stick. Just continue to crash until "they" fix it - sounds reasonable.

It is no different than buying a brand new car that is an all new design its first year out.If you buy first, it goes without saying that you will pay top dollar and you are the beta tester. as already said wait a year till the bugs are out if you prefer.

Difference is that the car comes with a warrenty, you dont have to buy upgrades to fix it.
