I picked up a used 30 and am installing a Webra in it. I removed the prop washer that I had on the engine and tried to use the Webra brass collet to mount the fan, but no go. The guy that sold the heli to me did not include the collet that came with the heli.

If anyone has used this engine with the 30 can you tell me how it fit and did you need anything special?

WEBRA+QUICK 30

I have a Webra 35 Redhead in my Quick Learner. The overall size and measurments are the same as OS32. It fits like a glove. I have some pics on my homepage (in Swedish) you can have a look at. To install tha fan hub I used a small collet of iron (I think it comes with the engine) and on that i put a tapered collet of brass.

I have the black head version. It comes with a brass collet which does not seem to be enough to hold the fan. I did not get the one that came with the heli originally. I am going to make a trip to HHI soon, so I will ask them for one and bring my fan and engine.

Follow the link above to see what part you need. It´s number 151. This sparepartlist is for the Webra32, but the part I have is similar to 151. It´s an adapter for Kyosho. I never had to take my clutch and hub assembly apart since I found the reason of vibrations elsewhere.

I went to HHI last ngiht. They are very responsive people and stayed late after closing just to try to help me out. After talking to a buddy of mine and Irwin, I ended up getting an OS .46 and 580mm blades. I'm going to just sell the Webra and stay with a little bigger engine.

I did not realize that the Q30 would take the larger blades, but it does. This allowed me to move into a larger engine.
