JR DSX 9/ JR 9303, Servo Speed Function works only in airplane mode.....

I can not find the Servo speed function in Helicopter mode, cause I want to slow down the retract servo of my Airwolf Helicopter.

But when I switch to Airplane mode, I can use the Servo Speed Function.

Now, How could I slow down the Retracts Gear of Airwolf.

might be thinking there must be a Bugs on our current DSX 9......Servo Speed Function, should be works on any mode......or did i missed something.

As the 2.4 GHz variant is a derivative of the XP9303/PCM9XII, it has inherited the same anomalies.

JR did not have servo slow in the Heli software as they believed that there was no valid reason to slow a servo down on a Heli.

However, they have (I believe) introduced this feature on the 12X. I know the pre-release 12X on normal channels that I had access to had this ability

I tried temporally to program the 9303 plane mode to fly my Airwolf. It worked on the bench but I was to afraid to try it for real. You have to add a mix from throttle to what ever channel you have for pitch. Oh it only works for non CCPM because plane mode doesn't have a swash mix and you only get one flight mode.

Why not mix or put your gear on a channel that uses one of the side levers, which you can "manually" control at the rate that you want?

I use the 14mz but have found that retract servos have one speed, i can't slow it down any more even with the 14 but it is slow enough, Hitec 75BB retract servo. Ron

Please cancel my clearance, I have the field in sight.

Retract servos don't work like regular servos, they move 180 deg at their rated speed and turn off. They don't respond to endpoints or anything.

Lazy....they didn't deem it worthy of the glider software either, I wanted to do the same thing on my scale sailplane because I dont think the mechanisim is going to hold up to banging up and down a lot.

Yes, You can not slow down a Retract servo....it work just like an On/Off only.

I use a 3 Regular Servo on our Airwolf, so I will look nicer if I can slow it down......I guess, I better install a SERVO SLOWER.

JR should have installed a SERVO SPEED on all MODE, its just an added feature that can be dis-able.

Hope we can Upgrade the Firmware of our DSX9 and add a servo speed.

There's a box that you can plug all the servos in and set their speeds and end points, I had one on my Bell 230, I forget what its called though.

That sound like Servo Matcher......Futaba has one......I am not sure if there are Servo Slower.

There are really a device call Servo Speed Controller, it will slow down any standard servo, use for retracts system.
