After flying my Phoenix Sim I kinda want to get a little foamy to tool around with.

I know a few of you guys also fly fixed wing, do you have any recomedation for a foamy that can take a lickin and keep on tickin!

The "BUG" from LightFlite.

It looks goofy, but it flies awesome. Its the most DURABLE foamy airplane I have ever seen.

I can tell you what not to get. I also loved the way the 2dogrc biplane flew on the 3.5 sim. So I started lokking for one.I started with a rcuniverse biplane and if you dont know anything about building one, the instructions F%$#@ suck. So anyway here is me flying my first plane http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t423412p1/

I bought a new foamy today. I'm building it now. It's an "e-Flite Sobré 3D"
It's about $40 for the kit. I can let you know tomorrow how it flies.

I've noticed one thing though, when it comes to 3D profile foam airplanes. That they're all pretty much the same.

3D foamies need just a few things to be able to fly well.

They need to balanced.
They need a prop,
and they need ailerons & elevator & a rudder, or elevons on and a rudder.

If you have those things, you have a foamie that flies.

I have flown quite a few and I super second the vote for Charger foamies. I prefer the CR-1 or the shifty. They build easy, fly excellent and the customer service from Tim is second to none. There is a CR-1 pic in my gallery (team flying cirkus scheme prepainted)Ahh, and when they are crashed beyond repair, instead of buying an entire replacement kit you can get the "foam only" ie: no carbon pushrods or wing "tube" motor mount etc. Only the stuff that would break, the depron. about 25 bucks that way.
