JR Heli Vibe - Airskipper - Sylphide - Venture > Vibe 50 Tail control rod popping out of guides

I am having this issue where the small blocks are popping out of the guide/clamps that are on the boom. They are on there pretty tight but the control rod still finds a way to pop out during flight. This is not a hard flight at all, just circuits and figure eights. Is this a vibration issue? If so I have no idea where it is coming from. Or has anyone figured out a better way to keep those little blocks from popping out of the guides?

I had a problem with one of mine popping out all of the time. Turns out the clamp was stripped out. The screw just turns. So, it was neveer in there tight.

The new packs come with four guide clamps. So now, I use four instead of three.

Ya, maybe I will pick up a pack of them and try it with 4 guides and also shove a piece of tie wrap between the guide and the boom to get a tighter grab on it. Or just design my own guide

This just came to me. If you had a long nut and bolt from say a 450, that might work. Other than that, I wouldn't know how to fix a stripped out plastic clamp guide.

true and that may hold a lot better than just the plastic bite on those. Plus they strip out so easy.

You sure you are putting the blocks in the correct way round, never had one pop on the V90 and they don't need to be screwed up that tight.....

Quotes may have been changed for my own amusement

You have to check your machine for vibrations too!
If everything runs smooth it is nearly unpossible that the rod pops out.
Take care.

I went with the CA and it worked pretty well. The rod stayed in its place and never came out. So that worked. Can vibrations be a result of a rich running motor? It seemed that the engine was running a bit rich and we leaned it out a few clicks. Otherwise that baby flew very nice today
