This is just me venting. The biggest reason I bought the Vibe over another heli was the parts availability. Having Horizon for parts, my LHS can get them in a day or 2. At least that's what I thought, everything else from Horizon only takes a day or 2 because we are so close to the warehouse. However, Vibe parts (even when they are in stock in IL) take at least a week, generally a week and a half, supposedly from the same warehouse!

How can that be? Honestly, I bought this mostly for that reason so I wouldn't have to mail order parts, but I find that I still have to mail order everything if I want to be back up and flying right off. If I have them get Hirobo, TT, or Century parts in, they are all faster. It's ridiculous, and honestly making me think that I made the wrong choice for my throw around heli that is GOING to hit the ground.

Did you read the post? The whole point is, I don't want to mail order parts. I like doing business with my LHS. If I was going to have to order parts, I would not have bought the heli.

It's great you and I support our LHS and that's key to this hobby. Your LHS has a Fast Serve account like all shops. My LHS told me if I need something quick let them know as soon as I can in the a.m. and he can get it shipped the same day FedEx. There is NO reason it takes more than a few days. Horizon has always been quick on shipping to my LHS! Unless your LHS is in some remote location that the only way in is by donkey for the last 10 miles,,,LOL, it doesn't take a week and a half! Somebodys not tellin you something...

That delay is coming out of Horizon. Everything else from them is there in a maximum of 2 days, Vibe parts take at least a week, sometimes a week and a half. There's something different about the stock of Vibe parts from the rest of their stuff. Heck, even the kits are there in a maximum of 2 days.

eury you thought i was b/s'n when i said that i was pissed off about our lhs taking a week to a week and a half for parts? told ya!!
thats why i let you have my tail parts.....i know its crap but i'm considering when i get my vibe in the air and need parts i'll just waive the middle man and order them from horizon or heliproz, it will ship to my door and i won't have to take a 45 mile trip to get it back in the air by the weekend..

BOY, IF I HAD A RUBBER HOSE!!!

There is nothing different in ordering or shipping Vibe 50 parts than any other parts or items from Horizon.

If you order direct, it'll take just as long, but you'll save the drive. There's 3 of us locally flying the Vibe and we've all had the same experience, there's something about the Vibe parts that takes forever for Horizon to ship. I've made 3 parts orders, the fastest took 4 business days, the longest was 7. Pretty ridiculous.

Ok Danny, then why when an order is placed for multiple items from Horizon, and they are all listed as in stock in IL, does my Spektrum receiver take 2 business days, but the Vibe parts take 5? All placed at exactly the same time on the same order, but a huge difference in delivery times from Horizon.

I wouldn't be able to say for sure, without specifics I can not say, but would have to guess that it was not the case that they were on the same order or ordered at the same time. Perhaps you ordered them at the same time with the hobby store, but the hobby store did not get the order in at the same time. This is just hypothetical as I don't have the specifics. You really should talk to your local hobby store about this.

I wish that was the case, I've been doing business with these guys for a long time, and am personal friends with a few of the employees. The order where the RX came long before the Vibe parts is a time when I was there when the order was placed, I had come in and they were placing an order and asked if I needed anything because it was going in right then. So I know for a fact that it was all ordered at the same time. I've spoken with them about it, and they are never able to explain why Vibe parts take forever to get in. I've got an order in right now for some more parts (the ones Chris mentioned above that he lent me from his Vibe), we'll see when they show up. The order was placed for them on Friday, and YES, it was actually placed with Horizon on Friday. I guess the countdown begins, any other order with Horizon would be in tomorrow. It'd be cool if it did actually come in tomorrow, but I'm not holding my breath.

Ok own a store in Kuwait and i deal with horizon hobbies, horizon has 2 warehouses which they dont carry the same items and part, that what invoice shows when i place an order with them

Then tell them to stock parts.

I deal with my LHS, but only for things that they are willing to stock. If they are not willing to stock, I will go with the faster method of getting them.

odd fella's.. i put an order in with the LHS on a saturday. He put the order in on monday and had the parts in on wed. Dont know why it takes yalls LHS so long.

I order everything from Readyheli among others.. There is no way ONE hobby shop can stock EVERYTHING that I need.. (I have various brands, Im not brand loyal)..


So.. Readyheli two days from order to my house is remarkable.. Every time!!!
