no, it is still fresh

I lost my original 231 due to a head crack when I tried to remove a stuck muffler bolt. Really pissed me.... and I don't really have enough time on this one to see just how it will "put out" like my other one. If I were to go for more power, I think a call to the "Als'" would be my first reaction. That is IF I were to stay "mainstream" with my options.

And remember any internal cumbustion engine cannot recover as fast as an electric can (almost instantly as long as the battery has the capacity).

its more than capacity ... wire size, motor capability to take the current, controller size and battery internal resistance that changes over time. I would guess a rotary engine would blow the doors off an electric.

..looking this up that's about the same power output as a .50/.60 size??.. Does that mean you could use it for a 600 conversio?

Only curious... I got enough trouble assembling kits designed for the job

I would love to try it in a 600 but it's a tad expensive and a little under powered I think.

..you understand that aspect more than me.. but doesn't seem that heavy or bulky 2.4 x 2.4 x 2.7 inches, high revving like the .50..

Ah.. just found the figures for a heli .50 at 1.9HP..see yer point..

I bet this one would fly a Condor or something with 900mm blades with authority - A four stroke gasser!

Saw it in a Yellow Aircraft Spitfire - the sweetest sounding gas engine I have ever heard.

I think it might power a motor bike as well but your right the 4 strokes sound great.

Best get back on topic now
