Hi guys, could someone please tell me what the performance of a Hornet CP is like with the stock motor and three High Discharge 1200 mah Li-poly cells?

Have a look at the Hornet BB site there are lots of posts regarding the Hornet and using Lipolys.
With the stock motor I think from memory the only recommendation is a 3cell pack of the ETec 1200 batteries

3 cell Li-poly pack will burn up the stock brushed motor pretty quickly. You need to stick with a 2 cell pack.

Maybe it would burn the stock motor out quite quickly, but these motors are dirt cheap, and you would get a small performance boost from the higher voltage wouldn't you?

Cheap....

But it would suck to have it blow itself out mid flight and cause untold other damage to more expensive parts as it impacts the ground. It would suck to break your reciever or gyro or even blades because your motor was over worked.
