I had to remove my fan hub and clutch the other day and when I replaced the screws that hold the clutch on, one stripped out. Upon inspection I found that the screws JR uses are way too short. It only catches a few threads in the fan hub to hold the clutch on. I cleaned up the hole and used a longer screw to mount the clutch. If you remove your engine I would recommed you check and replace these screws.

Are you sure you used the right screws? I remember mine have plenty of threads.

yes, checked them in the manual, they show to use a 3x6mm screw. It is not long enough, I replaced them with a 8 or 10mm, can't remember which.

YesI had same problem. I just put longer ones in to grab more. I had a vibe and come to find out the screw was almost out and could not get tight so I put a longer one in
