Hey guys I had a hard auto other day when a brownout caused my receiver (2.4) to do a quick reset. I set the bird down and thought I had gotten away with just the typical tail gear strip, when tonight I noticed my swash looked weird.

Here are some pics. The piece with them together is how it looked on my main shaft. I was trying to figure out why my pitch was all funky when I noticed it...

I find this strange as there was no damage to the blades or head. Was this thing put together with JB Weld? My experience is JB doesn't work well on Aluminum. (FYI: I tried tightening all 3 set screws, but I could still push the center piece back out without much force.)

Thanks for any advice!

I would call Horizon Hobby and see what they have to say. Maybe they will send you a replacement. They have always been pretty good to me.

Well thats no good
The 3 screws only hold the outer casing of the bearing and would not help to tighten them. May only cause the bearing to fail too soon and you would have to replace the swash quicker than usual. The center part on the swash gets pressed in and then flared open on the other side to keep it form pulling out. I think in your case it was not flared properly and might have been pulling out before your auto even. Be glad it didn't came out in flight, that would have been a disaster.

I think you are right about the flare. Maybe it was damaged from another crash and the auto did it in. Maybe QuickUK or someone will do a aftermarket mod. Thanks for the flare comment. I saw some sharp looking metal at the bottom, but I couldn't figure out what it had broken away from. I bet that was the flare curled back under or such.

Yes I have pressed one out and it leaves a sharp burr. You can have a look at the K&S stuff really nice as well. You can get it through RC-Japan
