Hi I am realy new to heli's I have been flying sims for quite awhile and I have flown a blade cp plus I am pretty good at hovering and flying but have always had a problem with tail rotor holding I recently bought a blade 400 I must say I like the belt drive tail alot more but I am still having a problem with tail hold. I have made sure that the revo is off and trim is centered. travel is at 100% and I remotely adjusted the stock G110 gyro in headling lock mode on the Tx at about 62% or about 12% heading lock. the tag wags very little but still when I accelerate or de-celerate in normal or stunt mode the tail swings about 90 deg. left or right and it is very frustrating. what am I doing wrong? please help.

Increase your gyro gain to somewhere around 68 or till the tail just wags in the air. You may get a wag on the ground. Then reduce the gain by .5 and test fly again.

Also, you can move the ball in one hole and increase the gain to something like 75-80. You get better resolution with the stock tail servo.

Also, check your belt tension--if it's too loose on the B400 I find it wants to kick out on punch outs. There is a fine line between too loose and too tight.

ok

ok i will move the ball link in 1 hole and tighten the belt. I will test fly it this afternoon when the wind calms down a bit. thanks a mil for the quick reply. I will let you know how it turns out. great heli so far though alot easier to fly than the cp+. maybe I will just need to start saving for a G401 or something. again thanks and I will post the results

check to make sure u have enough head speed-to much pitch and not enough head speed.

pick it up and shake it off...she'll fly again

well I did as instructed I tightened the belt and moved the ball link I had adjusted the gyro to around 72 this is .5 below the wag it was actualy nice to fly at first then about half way through the flight it got very loose I adjusted it to 78 and it did great the rest of the flight in either flight mode but it was still a little loose. it is now dark here and battery is dead anyway so I'll have to check tomorrow if it will do the same thing on a fresh battery. if so anyone have any input to this issue I would realy appreciate the info. thanx a mil
