Spent hours going over and over set up proceeder thinking i have missed something as i cannot get the gyro to interact with anything. Can someone who has one say weather there is a setting which could stop gyro function completely or is it most likely that it is broke.

Apart from leveling the swash slightly this is on factory settings.

My heli works as an ornament.......at least it stays in one piece!!!

Plug the gyro with a servo in the Rx and test it.

Servos moving?

Are you getting the servos to move?

a COMMON issue seems to be people plugging either the servo connectors in backwards or the sensor in the wrong spot...

NOT sure how you would do that as the sensor is a 3 axis setup and is designed to be used ONLY with the vbar brain?

it has a special plug as well..

with everything plugged in ...are the servos moving when you move the sticks?

sounds to me like you may have the connections in backwards...

Here's a pic...not the best but you should see the connections..

Sorry...i don't have one of my vbar helis with me today ..or I'd get you better pics..

I can move everything as they should move with the sticks but moving the heli in any direction has no effect on the swash what so ever.

Gyro...

does the tail move at all?

when you til the heli the swash should move a small amount...but it 's not completely obvious that it's moving..
you have to really pay attention to it..

it doesn't even flicker. The tail doesn't move either when i move the gyro, but if i move the tail to center it will drift completely to one side.

Seeming more and more likely a faulty gyro sensor. On my gyro there is a white dot on the connector, i have this at the top does this sounnd rihgt?

Make sure the sensor is plugged in correctly. Here is a picture. The sensor in the BOTTOM connector with the RED wire nearest the side. The top plug is for the control panel, on yours, it is probably empty.

This is the older unit with the metal sensor. It is possible the newer ones are not the same...

Turn up your "hiller" to 100 TEMPORARILY in the CYCLIC menu on both Aileron and Elevator to see if its working. Make sure you change the value back after verifying it moves in the correct direction.
