Of all the Kontronik Tango motors, is there one that is best suited for the Logo 600 3D? Please explain why? Also which pinion gear should I use for it?

I do not know much about the tango motors but have you considered other brands? There are much more powerfull and cheaper motors.

Tango's

I have tried the 45-06, 45-07, and 45-08 in the logos on 10s and the MOST powerful of the 3 is the 45-07...

Maybe others have a different opinion though

Kontronik Tango 45-10 and the 45-07

Has anyone try using the Kontronik Tango 45-10 and the 45-07 on their Logo 600 3D? How do these two compare? Which is better?

didnt ya already ask this?
Somebody has a boner for the tango,

Tango: 290g inrunner with a 40mm can
Actro: 340g 45mm outrunner

Basic physics...a wider motor is stronger spinning at same speed as a narrow motor

Basic physics 2: a hefty motor whose heatsink ( the body of the motor) is thick and spinning over 20000rpm is a cool running motor

What you won't learn about these two no matter how much surfing to do on the net:

To shim a kontronik properly you have to pop the backplate...there goes your warranty, not to mention its hard to pop that plate if you didnt know its threaded

To shim the actro you just pop a c clip off

So what who cares? If you have end play in the motor shaft the herringbone gears are not going to like it

Anyways the actro is just one example of many motors that are much better suited for the logo 600

Dude, I believe you mentioned in a previous post that you want to run 10s. Good descision! The 45-7 on 10s works great. I run that combo in one of mine. The 45-10 will NOT work in the L600 on 10s. It'll work on 6s, maybe even 8s. Not 10s. Here's the math for ya.

1000kv x 37v = 37000rpm motor speed. 153t main gear / 13t pinion = 11.7rpm. 37000rpm / 11.7rpm = 3162rpm head speed at nominal voltage. I'm pretty sure your L600 would EXPLODE at that head speed. It might be interesting for a minute, but it probably wouldn't last long. Depending on your flying style, you want 1900 - 2350 tops.

720kv x 37v = 26640rpm motor speed. 153t / 13t = 11.7rpm. 26640 / 11.7 = 2276 head speed at nominal voltage.

You really ought to decide what head speed you want to target first. Then decide what motor/kv/pinion will best accomplish that. How do you like to fly? Is that likely to change? etc.
