| I am using the stock 90 gear in my X-Cell 60 ST (stacked frames) mechanics in a Jet Ranger. It works very well as is, but it all depends on how far you want to go with "scale".My Jet Ranger looks great in the air but in order to keep tail authority, the head speed is way too high for scale The stock ratio turns the head too fast to really be considered scale. In some applications you can just lower you head speed, but due to the fuselage you may run out of tail authority. The speed up tail gears can be used and/or the 15 tooth tail drive pinion. I am not sure if the 95+ toothed gears are still available to slow down the head.
I am not trying to complicate things for you, as I said the stock gearing is great but not "scale" and if you want true scale there are other factors that you will have to deal with (rotor direction) etc.
