Is there someplace that gives a good tutorial on how to setup your heli?

I have a belt cp, i got from jags, paid him to balance and test fly etc. Well i bent the mast and stripped two servos in the first 5 minutes. While waiting for gears, i moved the gears so it was flyable and was doing ok. Showing the wife my new toy, wind gust sent blades into gravel. so now i have to start over.

All new blades and servo gears. But now i have to take it all apart to replace gears, so the setup is going to be jacked up. i need some guidance on how to get this thing flying smooth.

i did

the mast or i am guessing what your are saying main shaft was bent badly. I replaced it, and was actually able to hover around some. I could keep it in a 10 foot box. But after the blade damage it wont even lift of ground. It is stable enough, just isnt generating enough lift I geuss.

I am a real life helicopter mech.

What i dont know, is when i take the servos apart and regear them and put the new blades on, what adjustments i should make to ensure a good smooth hover, if that is possable. You know where is the nominal position for everything. I have a friend with experience, but i need to learn about it myself too. He made some adjustments before the crash to the paddles, and that made a big differance. I mean i watch utube and guys doing inverted hover better then mine can do regular.

And i also seem to have to put in a lot of trim.

I dont knnow yet how to use the knobs on the top for pitch control.

ok check that you have 0 pitch at mid stick,or look in the manual and see how much pitch its supposed to have at mid stick,I'm not sure of the stock settings, also, what channel are you refering to when you say you need a lot of trim?

this is what i do, pretty easy now after i crash a lot.

disconnect motor.
power up tx and heli.
turn idle up on.
move throttle to 50% zero all trims
put the servo horns @ 90deg.

put everything else back on, blades etc.

to check the pitch, put the heli side with nose left.
level the flybar. There are lines(markings) on blades grips, also markings on flybar area too. make sure they line up. Adjust the long pitch links to make them level. you should be able to fly with it.

make sure to put the idle up to normal befor trying out in the field.

i dont see the lines/markings.

but i did notice while looking that the main rotor blade grips seem loose to me. This is letting the main rotor blades flap about 1/2 inch. i dont see how to tighten those, or know if they need tightened.

as for trim looking at control i had right pedal in, and cyclic left and forward.

of course none of this made it crash, that was just me flying in wind I shouldn't have been in.

the servo gears should be in tommorrow, i have new blades, but i didnt bring tool box home to put them on.

this sounds like the feathering shaft(or spindle, same thing))which is the shaft the connects the blade grips is either bent or loose or both.if you remove the blades and look in the grips you will see a nut or socket head screw(I've never owned a BELT but the idea is the same)remove this and pull on the blade grip, then do the same with the other side.take note of all bearings/washers/spacers and the order in which the are set.inspect the spindle ,I usually roll it on a piece of glass or my counter top,you will see a bend immediately,if its bent either straighten or replace(it does not need to be 100%but close as possible),you can straighten it pretty well with a few gentle taps with a hammer on the high side, till you get a new one.if its straight, reinstall everything and make sure the spindle bolts are tight, there shoud be no play in the grips yet they should rotate freely and you should not feel the thrust bearings getting "notchy"

what i mean is if you look at the blade grip where it goes to pitch link there is a line.
