e-Mikado Logo 400 500 600 > Logo 400 problem

I thought Futaba 9650 is the recommended servo for Logo 400, but I cannot fit it in without some mod to the frame...Also, those holes on main blade grips are 4mm large, am I supposed to enlarge those holes on my existing 430mm blades too? It seems like 3mm is the standard size for most 430mm blades these days...why Mikado made it 4mm? Any specific reason? Thanks!

The servo bays, you just need to in-large the top and bottom a bit to get the 9650's to fit, not to much just a little. I used a Exacto knive and just shived of the top and bottom a little bit at a time until then fit.

The main problem you are complaining about is that Mikado used part that they already had molded for the heli so most of the parts are from the Logo 10 (Frames, head and tail box) The grips are also used on the Logo 500 which is why you have a 4mm blad grip hole. Most of the 425mm main blads have a brass bushing in them and if you push that out the hole will now be 4mm in the main blade and you can mount and use the 4mm bolt.

A dremmel tool also works real well for the servo bays.

I just heard from Ready Heli that Mikado is aware of the problem with fitting Futaba servo in the frame's and the 4mm bolt problem.
The orginal frames will work with Hitech HS 81,82,85 all the servo in that size just fine. From what I understand Mikado is sending Readyheli the new frames and blade grips to send out the the kits Readyheli shipped out.

That is great to hear

You mean that Mikado will be supplying all 3mm blade grips in the future kits?

Thanks everybody. I am glad that ReadyHeli addressed to the problem so quickly. However, I am quite disappointed about the business decision being made by Mikado...if I am not mistaken, they are trying to clear the old stock (Logo 10 frame and other main blade grips). I have been waiting for Logo 400 for so long but this is not something I expected from a company like Mikado. No mean to blame anybody here, but the stuffs they put in the L400 kit just don't make any sense to me.

Kanko,

I guess I don't understand what you mean about Mikado using ReadyHeli instead of AeroModels.

Would it be because you prefer AeroModels and don't like ReadyHeli?
Or do you think they should use more then one US importer.
We only had one importer before so I guess I am a little confused.

Also, I don't believe the L10 is going away any time soon. No need to clear out the stock. It was simply a "rush to market". I think more people are happy to have access than are put off by subbing parts. I had to mod my L10 frame to fit JR 3517's. No big deal.

Before there was only one importer and several shops to buy from. Now there is one importer and only one shop to buy from.

The Logo 10 is not getting phased out but the price went from ~$229 to $279 though.

I guess I didn't think if it that way.

Has ReadyHeli said that they are not going to sell to other shops? Maybe I missed something but I justed thought that they were going to distrubute to the rest of the dealers in the US.

No that was the agreement from between Mikado and RH. They are the sole importer/shop to buy Mikado from.......Ron

I think they are doing a good job right now, but when they are out of stock and the other shops do not have any old stock, you are stuck.....Ron
