I am just converting my Logo 10 to a 400. I have some cheap 430mm fibreglass blades with a 3mm bolt hole but I need to enlarge this to 4mm to match the blade grips. Is it OK just to push out the metal bushing on the blade to increase the hole dia or do I need to re-drill and bush the blades? Any advice?

I don't know, cheap blades and drilling alway seem to put me off and that bushing is in there for reinforcement as well. I would not do it but that is just me.....Ron

l`d say you should be ok. Dont see the difference in force on the blade root with or without that bush but l may be wrong. Having said that we do run some very high head speeds these days and l`m not a fan of cheep blades.

It is perfectly fine to push out the brass spacer, and in cases with blades 430mm or smaller the disc load is so small you are not putting much forces on the root as you would on a 500mm up machine. I have drilled several small blades and simply coated the inside with some ca as a re enforcement and insurance thing. I would not however trust wood blades or even FG blades doing this for anything other then hovering or learning though, CF you will be perfectly fine though.

Any 425-430mm blade, Align if you must , Rotortech, Torsion, and RCPs all should fit just fine.

Thanks but all these blades have a 3mm hole which leaves me with the same problem? Are there no blades for this heli that come with a 4mm hole as standard?

check the email that i recive today from ready heli Thank you for your recent purchase of the Mikado Logo 400 kit, I hope you are enjoying your new helicopter.
You received one of the kits, which came with 4mm bolt holes in the blade grips and the frames for the Hitec HS-81. Mikado will be sending us Futaba frame sets and new blade grips with 3mm bolt holes. There will also be spacers to accommodate the most common 425mm blades on the market.
As a Readyheli customer, we will be sending you these replacement parts as soon as they available from Mikado. We are hoping to have the replacement parts in a couple of weeks. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
