<<...it's obvious English isn't your first language...>>

Christianzx, you OWE me! I had a mouthful of roast beef (now all over the screen and keyboard) when I read that...

Mr. Conley,

Thanks for the detailed response. Good food for thought.

Next question: Do you sell to individuals? One of the two major gripes I have with Morgan is that you can only get CoolPower from a dealer. The other is that, claims to the contrary notwithstanding, the MACH 7 fuel they will sell to individuals is NOT the same stuff as CoolPower with a different colored dye.

The only available fuel in this area is Morgan and Ritch's Brew. Don't me started on the latter... I would be interested in trying WildCat. Unfortunately, my LHS is gouging the hell out of us on fuel prices, and I don't even darken his door any longer. I drive an hour+ to another shop.

Direct Sales

Dear Steve,

Yes, we do sell direct to individuals. Here is the methods of getting our fuels:

1) Ask your local hobby shop. Any hobby shop in the country can get our fuels since we are distributed by Great Planes.

2) We are also sold by Tower Hobbies online.

3) Any individual can buy direct from Wildcat Fuels, this is not in conflict with our dealers do to the increased cost of shipping by UPS on single cases. For case orders of 5 cases or more we ship individuals orders via motor freight lines, there is no haz. mat. and very reasonable shipping.

4) For club orders our policy is simple, if there is a Wildcat dealer within 50 miles of your club the club order is run through the hobby shop. This keeps the dealer in the loop and protects him from being undercut by "the bulk drum guys". This in know way changes the price, the special bulk club price is the same whether from Wildcat direct or from your local dealer. If your dealer carries Widcat or wishes to simply have them contact us for details on club purchases. This is how we protect our dealers by not selling around them. We do not market a different label for clubs as our competitors do.

Steve, they do, and at good prices, but its the hazmat surcharge that will get you. If you can get a large order together so that you can use a pallet space on a delivery truck, then you'll get the best deal.

Wildcat is great. I live about an hour from there. I stoped in last year and bought a few cases. Jerry was nice enough and droped what he was doing and gave us the five star tour. He is a really great guy. All I can say is wildcat will be in my tanks from now on. BTW Jerry I will be coming back to get some more fuel I am on my last gallon LOL

Sorry I had to miss a day of viewing this wonderful thread, but i had to go work my day job,I cant make a living on the 2000 bucks a week I get from Morgan Fuels .
If someone wants a tour of the Morgan facility I'm sure they could, all they have to do is ask....
over 140 gallons thru a glow engine w no wear?did the engine burn that much? or was it(the engine) being used as a pump......
I think if Curtis wanted to fly WC fuel Mr Conley would give him all he could handle. If CY did fly WC fuel MrConley wouldnt waste his time with the garbage in this thread. Most successful business owners/managers know that you can "write off" product giveaways as promotional items and receive a full tax credit for it.
I do appreciate Mr Conley coming on here to educate guys about his product.
The thing that makes me laugh the most,is how some people think that if you get it for free, youll use it.
In the case of sponsored pilots.Just about any rep for any product, uses that product because they believe in it thru experience with it,and truly enjoy helping others out that may be using the products they support,in addition to the competitors.
If you like wildcat,so be it,if you dont like the other so be it,but if youre going to post something about it at least be truthfull about it,without trying to stupidly slam the other guy when you dont have hardly any experience with either..........

i can only think of one sponsored pilot that makes his living off his sponsorships, all the rest have real full time day jobs.
i get a lot of stuff for free, most of it goes in the trash, some i donate to clubs to givaway, and stuff i really believe in and am already using, i keep.
almost every pilot that has some sort of sponsorship, was using the item befor he got the sponsorship, helis themselves notwithstanding.
and free stuff, cost a lot morre than stuff ya pay for, generally speaking.

Quit cryin n go flyin

fury flyer,
why dont you call CY or Wayne Mann and find out? Most sponsored pilots do have "day jobs".You wont see them respond on here because they're probably burning fuel this very minute, just like I'm getting ready to, after I finish this post.
Naive? Not. I learned by asking questions at events and such and talking to the guys in person...........you should try it sometime.........

"Oh BTW the new add for CP states "we have never paid anyone to use cool power or omege, beacuse we don't have to period." They why have sponsored pilots ? Don't guys who are sponsored get stuff for free? Ok i'm done , no more on this topic for me.

Paul G"

Getting paid and getting free stuff are totally different. What is in the water in NJ? I'm seeing a pattern here....

IRS question

According to my CPA, getting free stuff (paid in kind) and getting paid (in cash) amount to the same thing as far as the IRS are concerned. Just a thought.

what does the CPA say about rep discounts, like min air and most others give their guys?

Discounts

I didn't ask about rep discounts but discounts are offered by retail firms so I bet it would be difficult to say what is and what isn't. I know that here at FSU, faculty discounts for anything have been discontinued because in the employment contract they are ruled as payment in kind. I pay the same as the general public to play golf here but as a student would pay practically nothing.

I agree with GM1. I need to buy fuel no matter what as long as I fly. So if someone is giving it to me then they are paying me to use it. Thats money I don't spend on fuel. Thats money I keep in my pocket. What is the difference between me buying $400 dollars worth of fuel and getting paid $400 for doing it. Or just getting the $400 worth of fuel. I must pay for every last drop in a gallon of fuel. I burn the money (in my engine), i don't see it back. So I am kinda choosey in that regard. I know there are great reps out there who are very helpful and nice to talk to. There are also a few that are not. So I don't mean to be rep bashing but anyone who thinks that every rep uses a product because they truely believe in it is naive. I think my previous thread gave an extreme way to test a reps loyalty and belief to a product . And Morgan saying they never paid anyone to use their product? I don't know what kind of math they are using. I can understand why you would have reps, they get the word out. They do a good job doing it. But you can't say you have reps and then claim not to have them in nearly the same sentence. Thats about like saying CY flies a stock vigor. A highly modified stock vigor.

Cooling shroud for Raptor 30

I doubt if I get an answer for this question because it looks like everyone is hung up on the Wildcat fuel issue.Come on guys, I think you have beat that issue in the ground. Back to my question. I am new to the Raptor 30, is a cooling shroud needed for this ship?

Curtis Youngblood's secret fuel laboratory

This is funny.
I could never imagine Curtis wearing a labcoat, standing in a room w beakers on a table, bunson burners under a rack of test tubes going, with a tesla coil in the background, zapping away, and of course a full lightning storm in progress rattling windows, while wolves are howling while blending fuel. LMAO.All kidding aside,
I've seen him take fresh gallons of CP out of the carton, fuel up, and fly, with the only exception being, using 30%, w different oil combinations, to get the YS 61ST2 to work, with The Musclepipe, exactly the way he wanted it to, a couple of years ago.

"I think you have beat that issue in the ground."

You can't. It doesn't happen. If this thread dies, the topic will pop back up the next week but just posted by someone else. So why not make it last as long as possible? If people used the search function instead of the post function we would have nothing new to read. So I say make the most of it. I've met new people already by just talking about fuel.
You can argue about fuel but there are some things that are set in stone:
1) Nicads are the best
2) Freya is the best
3) R30 is the best
4) Sirius charger is the best
5) Republican Party is the best
6) Blue shiny parts are better than purple shiny parts but both don't hold a candle to gold shiny parts.

So while you can argue about fuel, its nice to know that some things are just fact.

No you don't need a shroud.
