e-Electric Batteries & Chargers > When should I stop flying? Flightpower EVO25 6S & Outrage XP25 6S Trex 500 Lipo Question

For my Trex 500, I have both the Outrage XP25 6S 2500mAh and the Flightpower Evo25 6s 2500mAh. Mt question is, what is too low of a voltage to run these lipos down to? How low is too low without damaging the cells?

I am more concerned about the actual voltage, not the flight time. But thanks for the reply. Can anyone else help?

You should stop flying when you have used no more than 80% of the pack's rated capacity. This is easier to control with flight time than voltage, since voltage varies depending on load.

But to answer your question (sorta) my packs are usually around 3.75v per cell at rest after flying and I put back 70%-75%.

I just got off of the phone with Flightpower customer service. The gentleman I spoke to confirmed that you should use no more than 80% of the entire power of the lipo. To be more specific, if the lipo has 2500mAh, I should not be putting back more than 2000mAh when I charge it. I will have to administer some tests on how the flight time would vary from normal mode to stunt mode 1 & 2.

I am not sure what the flight time breaks down to for the normal setting mark, but I am going to take your suggestion of "5 minutes" to start off with. I will keep track of the number of mAh I am putting back into the lipo with each charge and extend the time from there so I can get maximum flight time.

I am going to do a series of three tests. One for each mode. normal, stunt mode 1 & stunt mode 2. I will post my results when I finish.

Thanks for the help guys! RR Rocks!
