As far as I know you can put as much subtrim in as you want to .
( except for Rudder I'd never recommended it )

BUT If your having to use subtrim then I'd be willing to bet that something is not right in your set up .

I have built and rebuilt quite a few blades for ppl and I never have to use subtrim during setup

Don't use any trim yet. Use your swash mix on the TX first.

You have to be very careful when adjusting your swash mix. If your not familiar with this setting it is very easy to cause binding in the head if not adjusting correctly .

I'd rather make sure your mechanical setup is correct before you go into
the Tx adjustments

heli770- helibro is looking for subtrim answers, any mix in his swash mix will not bring about change for subtrim. subtrim is only for centering servos, swash mix moves all servos together in sync. more swash mix increases pitch, elevator movement, and alieron movement. as far as subtrim, if you go over 40, you should be able to move the servo arm another notch. there is no techincal limit to how far you can go. it just feeds an input to the servo moving the center point.

i hope i dont sound rude, because thats not my intent at all. i just remember my "mentor" explaning that specifically to me. subtrim is for centering only, beyond that, its all a mechanical setup. if the mechanics are perfect, there should be no need for trims at all (not to be confused with subtrims). if your setup is perfect, even if there is subtrim, you "should" not need any trim. only 1 of my birds is set up that well, but the theory is solid. beyond that, if its not set up mechanically, there is no subtrim, trim, gain adj, that will ever make it right all the way around.

I have no idea what helobro had done to his heli before he started posting. It is new, only reason I jumped in is he just wasn't getting any response.

would subtrim change depending on which servos you are using? seems the splines are different on different servo horns.
