Mulberry is back this year!

IRCC "Heli Spectacular" Fun Fly- November 7 - 9 Mulberry, FL. This event has been established as one of the top R/C Helicopter events held annually.

The timing also makes it one of the last opportunities of the year for "heli" pilots to get in some flying in great weather. As always there is a large flight line for freestyle and 3D flying.

There will be some of the best 3D pilots in Florida in attendance!

We are adding FAI to the activities list for those who want to learn and participate.

There will be clinics and plenty of experienced scale pilots who can assist in 518 competition and they will be available to assist novice and entry level pilots.

There is adequate parking space for motor homes/travel trailers and tents at the field. (No Hook-ups) Entry fee $20.00 for all 3 days

This combined with the great facility in Mulberry makes it a must for many of the top "heli" pilots. In 2008 we are again running a mostly "fun-fly' only format.

There will be no airspace issues, frequency issues or other distractions. Just fly and have a great time. Where else can one have a blast with 3D, Scale and FAI!

Directions to the IRCC Flying
1.5 miles east of Mulberry, FL on SR 60.
From Tamp...I-4 east to county line road south approx 7 miles to SR-60 east to Mulberry.
The flying site is approx 1.5 miles east of Mulberry on the left (north).
From Orlando...I-4 West to Polk Parkway…Go to US98 south approx 9 miles to Bartow.
Go right (west) on SR-60—7 miles to the flying site on the right (north)..
From areas South of Mulberry...Travel North to SR-60. Flying site is 2 miles east of Mulberry on SR-60 and 7 miles west of Bartow on SR-60

Gasser Clinic

Gasser Clinic added to Helicopter Spectacular Nov.7-9

Bill Meador and Doug Bruns are planning to do a clinic for gasser pilots. They will discuss proper setup and tuning procedures along with flight demonstrations. Anyone interested is invited to attend. More details to come.

Yes, I agree. This event is a blast. I was just curious on who are some of the top pilots that are attending this year. In the past this event has had a few top pilots such as Matt Botos or Bobby Watts just to name a few.

There will be quite a few very well known pilots at Mulberry, there always are.


Plus in December there will be a huge blowout down the road from Mulberry in Orlando where Szabo, Krause and many others will be in attendance.

I enjoyed Mulberry last year and can't wait to attend again this year. Don't forget Jacksonville, Zephyr, Orlando and Port Charlotte also. Isnt it just lovely living in the sunshine state?

We can work with impound on any frequency used other than 27 & 50 for the scale pilots. I predict the 75% of the pilots will be flying 2.4 systems. The impound guys monitor the check out times on all channels except 2.4 and limits the time they are checked out, especially if there is more than one pilot on the same frequency.
