I was thinking about upgrading my jr 783 to a 8103. i would just like purchase the remote and not the entire radio set. My question is will a 783 module work in a 8103? The only "remote only" ads I see are for radio with out module. I would like to save a few bucks is possible

Yes, the XP-783's module will work in the 8103, as well as most of the other JR radios that use the module. This module has remain unchanged for several years.
