When you measure oil for the fuel/oil mix ratio, do you measure the oil based on volume or weight?

Volume. Go to the local motorcycle shop. They usually have a plastic funnel in stock, that has all the mix ratios.

Most of the quart jugs that I have used have the oz. printed on the side so you can see how much you are putting in.
