Ok this may sound elemetary after I have been using this system for 6 months, but I notice that guys on the DX7 turn on the radio first then the heli. If I do this with my DSX9 the two lights on the rx do not light up. I have to turn on the heli then the TX to get everthing synced. Is this right or am I doing something odd?

Do it the other way and wait several seconds for the receiver to scan. Also if the TX is too close to the receiver you may have problems, make sure the TX is several feet away.
