e-Electric General Discussion > What's the deal with my Hyperion charger???

I went to plug my batteries in and I keep getting an error message saying "output battery--open circuit." Any idea what's causing this? These are the same settings and same batteries that I've been using for 20 plus cycles with no issues...

It’s something to do with the balancer. I am getting this error also and need to send mine in for repairs. I bet you can still charge without the Balancer at least I can. This happens on all 8 batts most of the time I get that error message but sometime when I try it with the balancer connected the charger just reboots.

Do what you love and you'll never work a day in you're life.

That's wierd, this charger is brand new. And it only does it on some batteries. But if I disconnect and re-connect them several times sometime I can get them to charge?

I'm not going to try to charge them without them connected to the balance leads.

Sending you a PM to a link to the 1.7 manual addendum explaining whats wrong. Basically you need to update to 1.7.

The problem is caused by a safety feature in 1.6 firmware thinking your pack is too far out of balance, when in fact it's probably fine.

When you turn the charger on it will say something like

"Hyperion EOS0610i DUO 1.*"

What number is the "1.*" ?

DSX9
TRex 600, 500, 450
Hurricane 550
Yak 180, 40% Extra - 15S
Custom eRaptor 700
