| hi shawmcky you pegged it with the frames need to be completely redone , so the R-60 and R-90 are better suited to converting , the R-50 with the plastic frame would be a problem
it would be cool to have a 50 sized gas engine that was purpose built to replace a 50 nitro , i would be happy with less power even , if it was drop in compatable , then a R-50 gasser would be in sight , dana 
there have been a bunch of 4-cycle conversions also , they run into the same problems of gearing and low power , and cooling issues , as the gas conversions , but the sound is to die for  |
