anyone done a conversion of a JR 8103 to LiPos?

I'm guessing 2100mah, and 3 cell...what size (dimensions) pack should I look for? suggestions??

thanx

Unless you put a couple of diodes in series with the pack to drop the fully charged voltage down to something that's not risking frying your RF output transistors, I'd recommend AGAINST putting a LiPo in there.

I went to WalMart and bought two four-packs of Kodak 2100 mah "pre charged" NiMh AA batteries and made a replacement pack for the original 600 mah pack that finally died.

I used the plug off the dead pack, the NiMh cells dropped right in, I don't have to worry about killing the RF deck by dissipating excess power, and nearly quadrupled my time between charges. These batteries have a pretty darn low self-discharge rate, too.
