Ok, I was putting a new motor in my cx and took apart the shafts and checked all my gears and such. I put the thing all back together and now the thing just rotates (blades are going but the body spins).Ive made sure to line up the lower rotor head hole onto the outer shaft so the swashplate is aligned and checked new motor conection was right on the 4-n-1. Any suggestions?

Sounds like both blades are turning in the same direction... but if you checked how the motor was plugged in.

I was going to say its plugged in backwards.

Second choice would be that the set screws on the lower rotor head are in too far and pinching the inner shaft.

If it's the same as a cx2 the bottom plug is black up, and the top plug is red up.

Left motor is bottom, right motor is top, (left-right being from sitting in the heli facing forward.

Motors are spinning in opposite directions and bolt is not too long and is not touching the top blade shaft. Both shafts seem to be rotatiing freely and lower rotor head is not spinning on shaft. Im baffled.

the whole idea of a coaxial is the 2 opposing blades cancels the torque... or so I thought.

just brain storming.

do you have the both motors spinning the wrong way?

Do you have top and bottom blades switched around ?

looking down from above, the bottom blades should be spinning clockwise and the top blades should be spinning counterclockwise.

The blades are spinning in the correct order and the motor is not switched on the 4-n-1. I had this problem before with a cx, and just bought another one. I purchased it for just a little more than the 4-n-1 was new. This model is fun to fly, I have upgraded to a bigger heli, but every now and then I like to pick it up.

No worries. I think it might be the 4-n-1. Oh well, guess Ill just scrap both CX and concentrate on my Axe CP.
