Hi,

This is not a competition, but how heavy are Vibe 50's ready to fly without fuel?

Thanks

That was a silly place to put the ground !

Are you asking for our personal weights with our setups? Because the electronics setup would also factor in. But in comparison it is a bit heavier than a trex 600n which I believe is the lightest .50 out there.

Mine as built with no mods weighs 8 pounds. I feels lighter in the air than my 7lb12oz 600 N. The collecive is much more responsive than my 600,same blades and set up.

Are you using the stock paddles? My Vibe feels much more stable in flight then my 600N ever did. I am using the stock paddles, but have a set of super stubz waiting to go on it.

I left off the tail box cover, and swapped the horizontal fin clamp for a lighter metal one with no fin.

My 600N was 7lb 6oz with the same equipment except for receiver, battery, and regulator. The Vibe feels just as light in the air, but tracks 10x better.

That's great guys, I just needed to know the average weights of 50's. My Raptor is 8pounds. So I'm about right.

Thanks again.

Im using the stock paddles on both heli's,the reason being i use very light main blades so i dont need lighter paddles. The vibe tracks much better than the 600,the 600 does very good stationary manuvers and manuvers that dont use a lot of foward flight.

If I didn't had 7 I would take it. If the price is right though I might get #8.... how much are you asking for it?

My mate had no problems selling after I said no. It took half a day on the BMFA listing, that's all.

Shut up. I was trying to get a good deal here

Anyway, I can understand Fernando's problem perfectly. In Spain the JR brand is pretty burned out mostly due to some less than ideal JR dealers and targeted marketing campains from other competing heli companies. Selling a Vibe locally will prove dificult.

To be honest, I'm looking to buy a K3D, I just think the Vibe is to expensive. I know its nice and well made, but so is the K3D and £135 cheaper. I think you be hard pushed to find anybody saying the K3D or Vibe 50 fly badly, so why spend £135 more than you have to? The K3D may not be totally up to the Vibe's quality, but it is still very good and more than upto the job.

The K3D is perfectly up to the job. I have several friends that own one. About the quality you're right though. Its not comparable to a Vibe. The K3D weak point is the plastic which is just plain inferior. On the other hand, I found the engine mount to be very innovative and different from what one is used to see. One of my buddies has both the k3d and the v3d and he loves them both for what they are.

You won't be dissapointed with the K3d. About the price... well that depends on each ones pocket but comparing the V3D to a 600N, I don't think its expensive at all. I bought my last kits in spain for 450€ a piece (365£)

How much do you pay for it.

Looks like my point of view is only based on marketing by the spanish JR distributor.

I do not really like the way it flies. A matter of opinion I guess.
