I had a brain storm today. I'm wondering if I can double bind my receiver. What I mean is right now it is bound to model 2. Can I also bind the same receiver in model 3? If I can, I can use the same machine for my flying and also as a trainer by switching between model 2 and 3 and set the curves in 3 as a trainer. Has anyone tried this.

I think it will only bind to the last model you bind too. Try it and let us know your findings.

Depends on if its a module system or not.

If its a model match system then no. (Dx7, dx6, 6i, x9303)
Model match prevents doing accidently what you're trying to do on purpose.

If its a module system with no model match, then yes the reciever doesn't know about the model memory number.

It would be a nice feature. Switch model, instant trainer settings. Strap on the landing gear and go.

It would be a bad feature I reckon, strap on the taining gear - miss set the model number, and the pupil finds he is flying a full on 3D heli with training gear.
...model match was invented to prevent this.
But all you have to do is rebind it to the relevant model memory when you fit or remove the training gear. Tie a bind plug on to the training gear to remind you.

I think you would know right away just by the amount of rotor speed you have programmed. Besides, I'm not absent minded when it comes to helicopters. If someone was absent minded and selected the wrong # the rotor speed is a dead give away that you have the wrong settings. You wouldn't even get off the ground before you realize it. I guess this option would be bad for some people. Me, I would love it!

Never thought of that, great idea! It would be just so the instructor can have a little fun with the trainer.
