Battery manufacturer Ener1 just announced that they're foreseeing an 50% drop in the price of lithium ion batteries as production increases.

Perfect timing (as nitro prices skyrocket)..

I have noticed that lipo's are dropping in price as the older C rated batteries are being replaced by new higher C rated lipo's

20C are a lot cheaper now that there are 25C & 30C lipo's

JM2C's :)

I was just battery shopping, I certainly didn't see that in the Dealer pricing.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

Just like the gas prices here in the US, it'll be a while before the end consumer sees a price drop.

I can't see 50%....and that may be true with a small number of "Ion" batteries...but the lithium-polymer and manganese will stay the same or even go up as transport costs rise...

I still deal..if you want "Air Thunders" email for pricing..
