| Oh I've owned it for quite a while, its that I just now have been able to enjoy it after getting it fixed from my screw up during the build. I forgot to threadlock the set screw on the starter hex. As a result the start shaft loosened and dropped the clutch housing just enough for a nice scraping noise. Readjusted the motor, then tried again. After 2 troubleshooting sessions I finally found the issue with the set screw.
After fixing that, it was scraping yet again again. Got upset with it and put it in the corner in the workshop for a few weeks.
I separated the frame and realigned the frame on glass, then took one last look at the start shaft bearing block and the whole entire problem was because the bottom bearing the block was about 1mm out of its seat. Pressed it in, put it back together, and walah 1 gallon and no misalignment or scratching noises.
