Indeed, these models are pieces of history to be kept as stock as possible and either flown or simply admired in like fashion. You'd no more want to change the head or control system on that model than you would want to place a Civic engine in a Model T Ford.

Keep it, fly it, show it off at ircha.

As for the model t, I wouldn't put in a civic engine either. I'd put a 351 cleveland with 2 barrel heads with modded valves.

Man, I miss the eighties.

Now why on Earth would you want to add CCPM to the mix?

To have collective, cyclic pitch mixing, what else?

I wouldn't want to fly such a beautiful heli on fixed-pitch.

I do see that most people would want to keep this heli as stock as possible and understand that. If it were mine, however, I'd probably mod it as described.

Nice find you luckya$$ !!!

As for the model T scrap the civic and Ford engine , if you wanna make it run correctly you'll need to install a SBC

Learn to 3D or die trying !!!!

Not fixed pitch ... variable pitch would be best. Just not CCPM with servo interactions. CCPM would be more trouble than it is worth with such an antique ship.

There is a company in Canada that carries some of the OLD KAVAN Parts. They have three pages of stuff and hopefully they may carry what you need. https://www.udisco.com/hobbies/index.htm
