Why do so many like vendor advertisements on the canopies ? Is it sort of a NASCAR thing, of course those guys get money for the logo display.

Don't get me wrong, it's a personal thing I'm sure and I'm not against it, just wondering ?

Just curious ..

Yeah I don't get it either. You see guys on the street with "souped up" cars with decals plastered all over the place too. 9 times out of 10 these guys aren't sponsored by any of the companies. It's just plain stupid imho. I don't put the decals on my canopy... Or my car.

I think it spawns off of RC Cars. I think plastering an RC car with decals would make it looks more like a REAL race car.

I think its cool that an RC heli has at least the name of the model or the manufacturer's name on the canopy somewhere.
It doesn't hurt that some engines come with a sheet of decals (OS, for example) and also the Curtis youngblood muscle pipe.
If you have the decals, might as well stick 'em on there somewhere.

I put stickers on my canopies sometimes to cover the crash damage, I got a sheet of bullet hole stickers that works good too.

maybe it just shows what guys are using,as people are always asking about set ups, this way you can look at the heli and tell some of the gear

If you put all your vendor advertisements on the canopies then what do you decorate your bedroom with? I think we need extra sheets of stickers.

No free rides here.I won't even wear a ballcap with a manufacture name on it.
The only stickers I have on my heli are from Hyperformance. They're the only guys hookin' it up for me

On the otherhand,I think Heli Vig should hook up the Princess with some CYE goods.Whaddya think?

I place stickers on my canopy so as i'm gathering up all the pieces from a crash I can look at the stickers and remember who to call for parts . Good enough ,eh .

i personally enjoy using vendor decals, but i use them very sparingly.

for instance, on my newest plank, i used only 3 vendor decals: the people who made the model, the people who made the engine and the people who made the servos. i used the smallest decals available for each and put them in very easy spots.

otherwise, i like representing the brands i fly. it helps out when people ask what equipment your using, plus, i feel if you like the product they make why not tell and show people thats its great!!
