| Mark Schneider was the rep flying the Turbulence and his flying is primarily a smooth, precision type of 3D, though he occassionally breaks into some smack flying when provoked . The motor in the Turbulence has 1.5 gallons through it (just got it last Wednesday). We are putting this motor through a break in period. The YS will start to make full power after 5 gallons.
Since it is a new model - currently the only flying one in America, and a new motor we are doing a full break in, slowly and also keeping a flight log to chart performance.
painfully: I'm sorry that you were not impressed by the flying routine. If you're looking to be impressed you should watch the XFC, 3D Masters and IRCHA videos on Dominik Haegele flying a fully broken in YS91SR in a Turbulence - as opposed to a model that is being broken in for the first few gallons.
Mark and I were in the Hobby Hut booth looking at the 91HZ. It is the first time we had an opportunity to look at one in person. However, due to Dominik's success with the YS, the proven amount of power it makes and its availability, it was a better choice for our powerplants at this point in time. I'm sure the OS will shape up to be a fine motor, we just have no experience with this particular version yet.
painfully: I don't know if I had an opportunity to meet you. I hope to at some point. What heli/products are you currently flying? Are you sponsored by anyone?
It was a shame that the remainder of the AC event has been rained out. Nonetheless we were happy to get our Turblence in the air, putting more fuel through it, dialing it in and letting people check it out. While I did have another local pilot try out our Freya with Turbulence head, I hope at other events to let more people try out these larger machines and feel them out one on one.
