I looking for advice on what simple moves I can practice that will make advanced 3d a little easier to master.
I do things a certain way , like tic tocs I have the tail in and I go from left to right and back , if I try say right to left I'm nervous and mess up, so I have to change it up.
I practice on the sim alot and notice if I don't change it up instead of practing one thing ,I will get that one thing to where I do it without crashing and then crash doing normal forward flight.
I guess what I'm looking for is a proven step by step method for learning 3d flight.
Thanks

Sounds like you just need to practice more. There is no method. You just have to learn it.

I will agree with that but would also stress the basics, i.e. mastering forwards and backwards flight both upright and inverted and then mastering this whilst also pirouetting. Once you have all of that nailed 3D is much easier because any bail or exit orientation is then familiar to you.

Mastering piro maneuvers is important because it teaches you how to use the tail properly and also teaches you to use it it to pop the tail a bit if you lose orientation during a maneuver.

If you master you pirouetting in both inverted and rite side up in both directions you will excel quickly with other 3D maneuvers . Then do auto rotations .One exercise you can do is take canopy off heli turn on TX and heli and move sticks to see if you can isolate each movement (surface).Start slow then you will speed up and train yourself by seeing surfaces move .

I dont know how to fly just how to not crash !!!!!

If you can do the basics like loops, 8s, snakes and 4 point tictocs, then it becomes 'hard' 3D when you're doing it all with piros and reverse piros. Obviously there are other moves wich fall outside this umbrella such as slapper, googley, rolling 8s etc but the piro manouvers are well worth nailing due to the visual impact and inherrent freedom that results.
I don't beleive there is a step by step approach because everyone has their own prefferences and abilities but applying piros to suitable manouvers you can do is a good step forward.

Four Step program.

Step one Build Heli
Step two Fly and learn new moves
Step three Crash
Step four return to step one

Hope this helps

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.
