On a Trex 500 stock motor, Jass 55 ESC, Medusa 3.5A 6V BEC. Batteries are 6s 3000ma. I just ran across a thread where a posted stated that the red (positive) wire on from the ESC should be disconnected. I would appreciate any info on this. I am searching now. Thanks, Rick

That depends - does your ESC also have a BEC built in? If there's a BEC built into the ESC then you should disconnect the red wire to make sure that it's the Medusa BEC that's doing all the work. If there's no BEC in the ESC then you dont need to do anything.

I thank you a bunch. Makes sense! the 55 does not have one, I think. Will check to be sure.

If its a Jazz 55-6-18 it has a BEC!
Then you can skip the medusa or yank the red cable.

If its a Jazz 55-10-32 it does NOT have a BEC.
