Dave Nieman is now an instructor on full-size at Denham.

Dave Day has been suffering ill health and poor eyesight for some years now. I think he still does a bit of control-line, but I haven't heard of him flying helis in years!

Haven't heard of Maurice Tait (or was it Tate?) in years either!

Vago is still around, though he dropped out of modelling years ago, selling out to Dave Wilshere.

I remember John Heaton turning up at the Uxbridge heli site with one of the most immaculate Larks I had ever seen! He flew it magnificently too!

Then he shattered all my illusions by turning up at Sandown one year in a full size Enstrom, that was so short of power he had to make a running take off to get it airborne!

Happy days!
