That’s the only way I fund to measure Delta zero and distance from centers at the same time.

You AH's I took my header tank and paddels off and crashed !
Been flying my Trex 3 weeks and I was afraid someone at the field would call me a pussy.

I am very sensitive and do not want to be called a pussy. I am on meds to help me control me temper and animal instincts. (The need to KILL stupid people and people that annoy me.)

You done it now, I am annoyed.

It does really look very nice. Using the stock arms and spindle (I believe?) is definitely a plus.

I'll have one of those one day and I'm counting on Inky to help me guide through the vbar setup when the day comes.

Flybarless with electronic stabilization is for pussies.

Real pilots don't need stabilization on their helis!

Someone needs to ask Ink how many pussified helis he owns right now. Sorry Ink, I couldn't resist. Too many flybars in your gallery....hehe.

Well...interesting you mention that ya. Saw a youtube vid once which was posted here on RR if memory serves of a fullsize Chinook at an airshow. It all played out between some serious mountains and sort of over a river and town. You wouldn't pay me to sit passanger in that display!!! Holy #!%^^$@!

Well I got my Vibe vibration problems somewhat under control. The vertical fin is still vibrating, but the fuel ain't whipping up like it was. I loosened all the engine mounting bolts and wiggled everything around, but I can't say the alignment is any different. I changed headspeed to 2100

Flew three times today and am gradually leaning the engine. It's to the point now that the backplate is warm to the touch after a flight but I can keep my finger on it.

My problem now is bogging of the OS 50 Hyper. I have a multi-gov and running 2100 rpm. I reduced max blade pitch to about 8 degrees. It's bogging noticable in turns, not to mention in hard climb-out. It's like it ain't got the power that the Hypers in my Raptors do.

I'm thinking about pulling the tank and seeing if the outlet hole is partially plugged up.

Anyone have any thoughts?

2 quick q's

Just about to take delivery of a Vibe 50.

1. Could someone please let me know the diameter and thread of the flybar - as I'm going to get some Stubz for a little fun.... and I need to know what will fit

Re: flybarless head,

I always thought the flybar with paddles config was to amplify the strength of the change in cyclic. Am I wrong in saying on a flybarless head, the servos will be working harder?

thank you

yes a flybar does do some of the work for the servos.

Hi!

One simple question. Do you have to take the whole clutch bell assembly with bearing block out of the frames in order to install gov magnets? If so, is there a risk of twisting the frames when puting it back in?

Thanks...

You are running max blade pitch of 8 degrees and you are bogging ????? I currently have my Vibe set up for +-15 on collective with +-8 degrees of cyclic! Yes, if I accidentally hit high collective and full cyclic at the same time I instantaneously get a near blade-stop type of bog, but when managed correctly, the performance is incredible. In a straight up power climb, it doesn't start to bog until I go past approx. 12-13 degrees. I'm running 30%CP in a YS50/MP5SB combo. Regular style Radix 600s. Digital cyclic ring. 2075 headspeed.

Have you checked the vent line where it goes between the tank and the middle main shaft bearing ? That's a sharp edge with minimum clearance. I pulled that bearing block out and radius-ed the front and back edges so that it didn't cut into the vent line or cooling shroud. If you got a hole there and lost muffler pressure it could be going lean at power. Do you have good smoke ?
