I live in Duluth, just starting out in Heli's. Have no experience what so ever in r/c or flying. I'm still in the researching phase trying to determine what to buy and learning about heli. Hoping to find others in my area to share information, to see one up close, and to see one fly. Hope to have my heli by the end of May.

There are PLENTY of pilots in the Atlanta area, unfortunately, most of them are either at CCRC, or at the Fayette Flyers field. Due to Atlanta area traffic, I believe that we need a new ACTIVE club on the east side of Atlanta. (Unless there already is one).

The CCRC is THE place to be, but it takes over an hour (w/o) traffic to get there from Buford. Only to find out that most of the people that fly, fly during the week. Add traffic to the scenario, and forget it.

So is there an east side club, or is it time to start one up?

Help - new guy on deck...

Anyone flying in the Lawrenceville, Sugarloaf parkway area. I'm very green on all things helicopter and could use some pratical help. I bought a thunder tiger raptor .30 with romote, Futaba 8UHPS Radio Control. Everything is ready to go, almost. But I would rather not kill myself or cut off body parts in trying to learn how this all works

If you are willing to come up I-85 to the Jackson county area I have helped several people get started. We fly at a field that has a very large flying area and lots of nice folks there. We have about 8 heli pilots there now. I go out on sundays between 12:30 and dark. I have flown raptors and the 8U radio series so your stuff I am very familiar with.
LMK if you are interested e-mail me @ mudbogger2@aol.com
