e-New & Emerging Electrics > Poseidon motor question???

Hello guys, I have a new Mega 16/15/2 motor that I was going to use in a ducted fan that never was finished... As the kV of the motor is 4400 I thought maybe I could use it on a Gazaur Poseidon that I have. I was thinking of pairing it with a CC Phx45 that I was also going to use on the ducted fan project.
Do you guys think this might be feasible? I was thinking on a 10T pinion...
Thanks for any input!!

Is it a out-runner? if not, might have cooling problem.
10T is good for 4400kv motor, since it should run at 2930.40 rmp with 90% Drag Co-Eff. on 3S battery.

Sincerely
Rex

should work fine - people use both inrunner and outrunner on these helis - larger helis usually opt for outrunner but not always - the Neu motors are inrunners, as are the kontronik tango motors

in t-rex 450's a medusa afterburner is not uncommon... your mega is easily as good

actually, 4600 kv is a little high - it's gonna give you an insane 3000+ rpm headspeed
ideal is 3600 through 4400... after that even a 10 tooth pinion won't get your rpm down low enough
