The draganflyer AP rig... Built in gps hold.. I think it carries a camera up to 500g? Not sure.. They have a bunch of vids and such.. Lots of Carbon Fiber... looks like it's 2.4ghz

Depending on the price could be a viable option for an AP rig..

They have their own gimbles and such too.. They also show it carrying an HD Vid Cam.. also a Lumix P&S.

If anyone can get the price from them and post that would be great.. I think you have to inquire with them for pricing..

I could see it being a decent backup rig if the price is good..

They even go as far as calling it a uav-helicopter.

I wonder if they would let the gimbles be bought separetely?

I agree.

A very cool "toy" but way too expensive IMO when there are much better tools for AP. With its size and configuration, it seems like it wouldnt take long to get disoriented even at lower altitudes. What good are all the bells and whistles if you can't carry much payload and keep orientation? A very nice heli, mount, and a complete Carvec system would run you about the same.

Let's all wait for Rawlings to buy one then sell it for $500 in a few days.

nowhere near the needed payload capacity for effective AP... 500 grams?

Haha, ignorant people buy this, limited to 500gr, not even stable video flight (checked out the onboard video)
And it cant even operate during winther, or below 10 degr cels

But they have made a VERY interesting gimbal when it comes do damping, can someone adopt that construction please?

I think it would be very useful actually. I'd love to roll up to a site, open a pelican case, and be done in less then 10 minutes.. and not sweat a thing. I'm not ready to pay 15k though. 5k.. well, then we could talk...

Rhett... I can't fly, luckily the HC Profi Can!

this guys have always been crazy about prices!

14k is far too much for it also considering the growing open source quadro projects that do almost the same things that their system does.

ehh, for that 5K, I'd rather invest more into my helis... you get more than ten times the payload capacity from a heli as opposed to one of those things...
