The kit was not listed on the invoice.

Then why did RChover send him the kit. The O.P. even talked to RChover on the phone discussing the details of the combo deal. Another person posted that the same thing happened to him as well. He talked the RChover, and discussed the price and what was included. Saying all of that, once the 700 was shipped, I think it should have been a done deal. Then there is the fact that nearly three weeks had passed before he was told a mistake had been made. What if he had already sold some of his stuff to pay for the new helicopter? The buyer did nothing but purchase a helicopter from the web site, followed the instructions on the web site, and called rchover to get the "crazy" price that was offered.

mupchu, nice try backing out but as soon as you said "Internet Company" you were, indeed, insinuating that you thought the company did not have a store front.

Also, seems to me that RCHover would not have agreed to the deal if they didn't need vinyl.

I now know why I don't really frequent these forums that much. RCHover never mentioned that deal, and in fact if you reread their post it's pretty clear they just want to wash their hands of the whole deal. Heli-styles says he offered the vinyl but it is not acknowledged anywhere that rchover is getting anything. Again why would they want someone like the OP helping them advertise at all.

You are correct I didn't think they had a store front, but why does that matter. I did think it was something they had little use for, and that was the whole point which you clearly mis-understood. What makes more money a global internet store front or the local hobby store front, which has the potential to reach more customers? If they are in business don't you think they have their own people (to do vinyl, stickers etc) to do the advertising for them (who they actually trust)?

exactly.

So again why the personal attacks? Do you really think RChover is getting a great deal . . . even assuming they got some vinyl stickers out of the deal (which is assuming a great deal)? Am I some internet moron because I don't see the obvious great need rchover has for some local advertising? Give me a break, the guy held rchover's feet to the fire and got a free Trex 700 kit and offering some stickers as compensation just doesn't seem all that fair to me.

He got what he wanted though . . .

So was Jeremy lying when he said on the phone that the kit was included? I do not think you really understand where the mistake was made. He did not send the kit by mistake, but rather failed to include the price of the kit in the combo deal. You do not have to be a brain surgeon to figure that out.

The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.

Guys Drop it. The buyer made a mistake by trying to barter his way out of a deal. The seller made a mistake that was a type, In a perfect world there are always disclaimers on websites saying they are not responsible for errors in posting etc. An ethical person would as soon as they realized they got a $700 kit for free would call them and try to correct the situation, not barter their way out of it. I think the issue is resolved.

This is from another person that posted on the original thread. He bought the combo deal as well.

To all those that accused the poster of taking advantage - let me assure you I did not. I called RC Hover a few times to confirm the deal was real, and even asked if it included the 700 itself.

This is RChover's response from the other thread.

admittedly we miss priced the 700 combo deal on our by not calculating in the cost of the kit

So, they did not ship the kit by mistake, but rather failed to include the cost of the kit in their combo deal. I can't believe that I have to point out something that is so blatantly obvious, and Jeremy himself admits.

Now drop it. The website had a disclaimer, you got away with something and you tried to barter your way out of it.

They should just put on there that they are not responsible for any of their mistakes. At any point after a purchase they have the right to come back and ask for more money.

resolved

hey guys,

lets let this go, and move on, our big booboo, and we where taken advantage by a savvy and VERY unreasonable customer (Robin Stiller in
Stacy, MN) ( lady_luck441@yahoo.com ) that is holding us to it no matter what and using the forums and what ever method he can use to get what HE wants...so instead of wasting my time and your time and all this wasted band width, we are making him go away and concentrate on our other 99.99999% customers who we love to serve @ rchover.com

I'm a firm believer in treating people the way I want to be treated , it's the same as Karma, yin yang, Ju Ju what ever...I know what comes around goes around, and this free 700 is destine to pile drive itself on a regular basis... or something will = out in the end...

sorry to take up all this wasted band width with this BS guys lets get back to doing what we love FLYIN HELIS!!!!!!

I hope you all can come to the HELI PHENOMENON in october @ the NEHC www.nehelicrew.com is going to be a 3 day heli blast ... we can laugh about this stupid situtation then ....

hope to see you there
